In the Book of Joshua, the
LORD comes to him and gives him instructions about how to take the people of
Israel over the Jordan. He tells Joshua,
He will go before them, and for them to follow about a half mile behind, and to
be careful not to get in front of Him. The
LORD further explains they have not been this way before. They wanted to get to the Promised Land, but
did not know the direction.
We sometimes want to get
somewhere we have not been before. We
know we want to get to the ‘Promised Land”, but we don’t know the way. In our excitement and over zealous desire to
get there, we rush ahead of Him and go before Him. This is when we find ourselves lost, and
wondering where He is. But is it not He who
is lost, but rather we.
Today take time to put Him
first in all you do. From business to
family, friends to spending habits, ask the LORD, is this the way, shall I walk
in it? Watch and see how He will lead
you, if you just let Him. It’s better
than getting lost
