The Plan for Restoration Part 1

When you give parental guidance and direction.  Once the child rebels by choosing to go their own way, you sometimes have to let them run their own course until they cry out to you for help.  Then once they have cried out, you allow them to show you they are serious and not just sorry their way didn’t work out for them.  When the children of Israel went against the LORD’s direction and were taken captive, they cried out to The LORD for help.   He then instructed them to return to Him before He gave them restoration.  In doing so, He gives us symbolically what we must do in our first step of Restoration.  We must return unto Him.

This means you must leave those things, which drew you away.  Whether it was drugs, alcohol, trying to “keep up with the Jones’”, not getting up to go to church, stop giving tithes, quit studying His Word, taking time to pray, or putting anything before Him, we must go back to doing those things.

If you want restoration and have cried out to the LORD, its time you put Him first in all things.  This will begin your restoration.

There Is A Plan For Restoration

When things have gone wrong, and you have suffered loss, whether it is materially or spiritually, the Bible tells us how to go about getting Restoration.

Restoration means the return of something to a former owner, place, or condition.  According to the Prophet Joel, the LORD tells us, “I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”  This lets us know not only did He allow it to happen, but He will also give back to you what was lost.

There is a plan for your loss.  There is a plan for you to recover.  There is a plan!

Glorying In Tribulations

Do you complain about the events in your life, which you deem as trouble, pain, and difficulties?  Do you find yourself focused more on the problem and not the solution?  No wonder we feel as if life is unbearable and are always upset.

However when we begin to read and understand our bible, we start to see, troubles, pain, and difficulties are not allowed in our lives to make us upset.  God is trying to grow you up in Him, show you He is your all-sufficient One, your Jehovah-Jireh.  When these things have run their course, our hope will be built up in the LORD, who is our Jehovah-Jireh!

Today, stop seeing what you are facing as troubles, bit rather as God working through your circumstances to show you just how much He loves you!

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: Romans 5:3-4

Who Goes First Determines If You Get Lost

In the Book of Joshua, the LORD comes to him and gives him instructions about how to take the people of Israel over the Jordan.  He tells Joshua, He will go before them, and for them to follow about a half mile behind, and to be careful not to get in front of Him.  The LORD further explains they have not been this way before.  They wanted to get to the Promised Land, but did not know the direction.

We sometimes want to get somewhere we have not been before.  We know we want to get to the ‘Promised Land”, but we don’t know the way.  In our excitement and over zealous desire to get there, we rush ahead of Him and go before Him.  This is when we find ourselves lost, and wondering where He is.  But is it not He who is lost, but rather we.

Today take time to put Him first in all you do.  From business to family, friends to spending habits, ask the LORD, is this the way, shall I walk in it?  Watch and see how He will lead you, if you just let Him.  It’s better than getting lost

Do You Need A Touch?

When studying the bible we know everything in the Old Testament is standing in the Light of Christ, and casting a shadow into the New Testament.  We also know Genesis is the book of beginnings.

God, the creature, began creating all things by speaking them into existence.  However in Genesis 1:27, God formed man in His own image.  Man was the first thing God touched.  He wanted to be connected to the object of His affection.

After the fall, man has been seeking, longing and searching for a way to be reconnected with His touch.  Thankfully God devised a plan, to bring man back to Himself.  Christ died so you and I can have the touch we so long for from our Father.

He stands waiting to give you His touch.  Are you now ready to reach out to Him?
